Our Founding Partners

For two years, Catholic Mission has supported the collaborative development of
formation.org.au because of a deep commitment to offering Formation for Mission across all parts of the Church in Australia.
As the idea moved from concept to reality, a number of partner organisations, also with rich histories of quality formation programs helped to fund the development and launch of the association.
We are deeply grateful for their financial commitment, moreover for their belief in an idea of connection, collaboration, creativity, and courage in this work of Formation for Mission.

Our Founding Members

This association is the work of many minds, deep faith and big hearts. Developing the levels of membership, identifying the core pillars of service and activity and designing how the overall association could function, was the work of a number of formation practitioners and their organisations who generously committed their time and offered their wisdom.
This enabled
formation.org.au to begin.
It is our hope that from this beginning, we will work every day to offer the permanent place for dialogue, connection and learning for all the people who work in formation, who lead mission and catholic identity, and who nourish the spirituality and faith of so many.
This list of members will grow, and together we will co-create our future.

We acknowledge the First Nations peoples of this place now called Australia, the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which we reside, work, travel and meet. We pay our respect to Aboriginal elders past, present, and emerging as they hold, teach and care for story, country and culture, where sovereignty was never ceded. We acknowledge that “country” was and always will be integral to the spiritual and cultural identity of the First Nations peoples.
